Opportunity Port gets funding

Opportunity Port—one out of four other teams from Arizona, Utah and Wyoming — has been selected for investment in the Alliance for the American Dream competition. The team will receive $500,000 from Schmidt Futures, which founded the Alliance for the American Dream in New York City.

Opportunity Port is a platform that leverages technology, legal expertise and private-public partnerships to demystify the record sealing application and empower those with criminal records to begin the record sealing process. The team is led by Hannah Miller, City of Columbus and the Legal Aid Society of Columbus.
